Her passion is in the numbers.
"Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time." - Jim Rohn
With more than 30 years experience in accounting, Janice provides expertise and insight into the lives of small business owners. Her understanding of small business stems from walking in your shoes. From 1993 to 2001, Janice owned and operated Woodsilk. Before selling in 2001, the company tripled sales.
Janice recognizes that clients have varying needs. The goal for each client is to develop tailored small business strategies that maximize profits. Each plan assessment will make sound financial sense now and into the future, specifically to her clients' businesses.
Janice deems that to serve her clients well is to understand all aspects of her clients' small businesses. Her dedication to clients goes beyond accounting and tax reporting, to form a trusting relationship. This leads her clients to trust her opinion and rely on her for crucial industry information that keeps them ahead of the game.
In her spare time, Janice volunteers her small business accounting skills to Warm Hearts Foundation. Warm Hearts is a 501(c)(3) that supports Kenyan orphanages with food, clothing and school tuition. In addition, they dig wells in the Malawi region in Africa for drinking water.
Janice graduated with a Master of Business Administration from Seattle University and a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Bachelor of Art Degree from the University of Minnesota. Janice is licensed in the states of Michigan and Washington. Her professional memberships include Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), and the Grandville/Jenison Chamber of Commerce.
"It is my goal to help small business owners to reduce taxes, increase profits, and better manage cash flow.
I am happy when my clients are making money."
